WHAT WE BELIEVE

At Real Church Waldorf, we believe every person has God-given worth—regardless of race, background, or perspective. We are committed to unity in Christ, where diversity is embraced and harmony is possible through mutual love. We believe in the power of the gospel to transform lives and bring people together as one family in Christ. Our mission is rooted in following Jesus, living according to God’s Word, and sharing His love with others. We are passionate about building a church that reflects heaven—multicultural, multigenerational, and united. Together, we grow in faith, serve our community, and point others to the hope we’ve found in Jesus.

OUR BELIEFS:

The Bible is God’s Holy Word. It uniquely and infallibly reveals God’s plan for His people and how to live out that plan, individually and corporately. Beliefs, practices, priorities, and our mission are to be anchored in clear biblical teachings.

Jesus Christ is the defining feature of God’s will and relationship with all humankind. In Christ, both newness of life and the highest and clearest example for godliness is found. People made new in Christ find Him to be the source of faith, hope, and love in both the inner life and in our outward actions engaging a world desperate for hope and life.

Making disciples is a clear mandate from Christ. This requires a strong missional focus on evangelism and training in spiritual growth and holy living. Done effectively, this will produce and promote growth and health in and among the church.

We believe the local church is the hope of the world. That’s why we’re committed to helping congregations grow, multiply, and thrive—becoming healthier and more aligned with God’s purpose. Local churches are the frontline of evangelism and discipleship. Our ongoing challenge and calling as a church is to identify and equip believers who are ready to start, serve in, strengthen, and multiply gospel-centered communities.

We honor spiritual leadership, understanding that true spiritual authority isn’t just simply given—it’s earned. Effective leadership is marked by a loving and willing heart of obedience that joyfully serves both God and people.

There is intrinsic value in every person. Biblical unity becomes all the powerful and beautiful in the light of the wide-ranging differences in personalities, cultures, races, languages, talents, and perspectives. In Christ, we find a unity and mutual love for one another—eliminating devaluation, division, and dehumanization.

BAPTISM

Before baptism, one must first repent and believe.

Baptism is the first step of obedience in following Jesus. It’s a powerful way to show others that you’ve put your trust in Him for salvation. Jesus Himself set the example by being baptized (Matthew 3:13–17), and we follow in His footsteps.

When a believer is fully immersed in water, it symbolizes the death and burial of Jesus. Coming up from the water represents His resurrection and victory over sin. Baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Christ and your commitment to be part of God’s family.

While baptism isn’t what saves you, it’s an important and meaningful step in your faith journey. For many, it marks a fresh start and a deeper commitment to walk with Jesus.
