Terri Countiss

Terri S. Countiss is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, passionately committed to her faith, family, and church community. She is an enthusiastic prayer warrior, teacher, and student of the Word of God. Terri currently leads the Armed and Dangerous Woman’s Bible study and faithfully serves on both the Prayer and Tithing Teams at Real Church.  

She has also served on the Women’s Ministry Team at a previous church. She is inspired daily by her favorite scripture, Psalm 91, that reflects her deep trust in God’s protection and faithfulness.  

Born at Turner Air Force Base in Dougherty County, Georgia, Terri began her career journey early through Job Corps. At just 14, she started as a dishwasher at Wartburg Nursing Facility in Mount Vernon, NY. After relocating to Waldorf, MD she continued her interest in nursing care by earning multiple certifications from nursing school in Silver Springs, MD and was recognized for excellence with the “Best Nursing Procedures” award. She advanced through various roles—including Geriatric Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant. She further advanced her career serving as the Alzheimer’s Director and managing hospice care at Morningside Assisted Living in Waldorf, Maryland. Following her extensive work in healthcare, Terri transitioned into the retail industry, where she has built a 21-year plus career at Walmart.   

Terri has been happily married to her husband, Joseph Countiss, for over 36 years. In her spare time, she finds joy in baking and creating warm memories for those around her. Terri has balanced her professional achievements with a life of purpose and service, bringing the same discipline and heart to her work that she brings to her faith and community.
