Jamarr Johnson

Jamarr Johnson has been a member of the REAL Church family since 2021 and is passionate about serving others with excellence. He currently serves on the REAL Church Facilities Team, helping prepare and restore worship spaces each week to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where people can encounter God. Prior to joining REAL Church, he served with the Men of Valor ministry at Jericho City of Praise Church in Landover, Maryland. Jamarr strives to keep God first in every area of his life and is guided by Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." 

Professionally, Jamarr brings more than 25 years of experience in Information Technology across both the private and government sectors. He earned a Master of Science in Information Assurance, graduating cum laude from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and holds a bachelor's degree in computer Networking. He is an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and holds multiple industry certifications, including CCNA, ITIL, and CompTIA Security+. 

As a member of the REAL Church Board, Jamarr considers it a privilege to serve alongside fellow leaders in advancing the church's mission. He looks forward to fostering unity, supporting the vision God has given REAL Church, and contributing to its continued growth and impact within the community. 

A proud native of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Jamarr has been happily married to his wife, Starlet, for more than 13 years. Together they enjoy building a Christ-centered home, spending quality time together, staying active, and caring for their Boston Terrier, Bailey.
