Ana I. Sánchez-Rivera

Ana has been part of REAL Church since before its doors officially opened, following Pastor Colby's online messages before the church launched and joining the church family at its very first in-person service. Originally from Puerto Rico, she treasures REAL Church as the family God has provided while living away from home. When Pastor Colby cast the vision for a children's ministry, Ana joined the REAL Kidz Ministry and has served there ever since, supporting both teaching and administrative projects. Having grown up in church and begun serving in children's ministry at just 11 years old, she developed a lifelong passion for helping the next generation know Jesus. She believes those early opportunities to serve shaped her faith, character, leadership, and many of the gifts she uses today. Her desire is for every child to experience the same loving church family, faith-filled community, and opportunities to serve that she hopes her own daughters will experience. 

Professionally, Ana is a statistician for a federal agency. She holds degrees in Social & Cognitive Psychology and Geography, including a master's degree and a Ph.D. in Human Geography. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, playing strategy board games, and making memories together. 

Ana is honored to serve on the Board and believes God is doing something uniquely special through REAL Church. She is excited to support its vision and prays the church will continue growing in faith, strengthening families, and helping more people experience the love and hope of Jesus.
